LeRoy
On the Road: A Century of Ruts, Dust, and Macadam
For the LeRoy Historical Society, LeRoy, N.Y.
Opened June 2006
This historical society exhibit was designed by a TEA intern as part of its Small Museum Assistance Cooperative program in 2004, with TEA staff managing the final design and production in 2006. Working on the basement level of the “Jell-o Museum” behind the historical society, the exhibition used printed canvas backdrops to convey a sense of the open road and local landscapes, along with large freestanding graphic panels, simple interactives to highlight the museum’s collection of sleds, carriages, and early motorcars.
