The Exhibition Alliance supports the work of exhibiting institutions of all sizes – from basic services like fine art storage and low-cost exhibition insurance to comprehensive planning, design and fabrication of high-caliber exhibits. As a non-profit membership organization, TEA provides expertise, services, and educational material to strengthen the arts community. We approach our work with flexibility, creativity, and professionalism – working always to build the capacity of our members and clients, to engage and expand their audience, and to respect their institutional goals, budgets, and needs.
Through our commitment to education, we build the capacity of smaller arts organizations to develop exhibitions, both by working with TEA and, later, independently by utilizing their new skills and knowledge. Our flat rate pricing also makes it easy for organizations and individuals to work with us, knowing exactly what is required in order to get the job done rather than being surprised by overcharges and penalty fees that can stall or kill a project. This means that "the meter" isn’t always running when working with our clients, and we do not impose penalty fees for providing extra consultations. Coupled with our educational approach to design, this makes us far more approachable and enhances our level of communication with clients, helping to ensure that the end product suits their needs.
Why Are We A Non-Profit? Unlike for-profit design firms and consultants, The Exhibition Alliance (TEA) exists solely to serve the museum field. We are highly motivated to provide exceptional service at modest cost, maintaining the lowest possible margins on the services we provide for a fee, and providing as much free technical assistance as possible. Our focus is on building the capacity of the organizations we work with through education, providing them with the new skills and knowledge they need to serve their audience more effectively.
