Greater Hudson Heritage Network (GHHN)

Greater Hudson Heritage Network is a regional service organization formed to advance and advocate the preservation and interpretation of the area's historical, ethnic and cultural heritages. GHHN serves museum, historical societies, historic sites, archives, libraries, repositories and related cultural institutions, as well as county and municipal historians, educators and a spectrum of individual trustees, staff, volunteers and public audiences involved in community history.

Chartered in 1962, the Museum Association of New York works on behalf of all museums in the state, helping museums shape their futures MANY promotes museums as engines of economic development and key tourist destinations, increase public understanding and support for museums, and address state legislative and public policy initiatives.

Museumwise provides support, advice and training to historical societies, museums, historians and others interested in history and museums. Its mission is to build the capacity of organizations to use history to engage the public in shaping their communities. Services are geared ensuring constituents understand and embrace best practice; providing tools for constituents to present the full diversity of their communities; facilitating the use and sharing of resources and expertise; and achieving a broader understanding of the value of history.
